MTA Service Changes

For the latest MTA information regarding the Cortelyou, Beverley & Parkside station rehabilitation project, plus information about other general MTA service advisories, please follow the link.
Northbound Station Bypass (through November 2013):
Work is underway, as of July 8, 2013, on the northbound Parkside Avenue, Beverley Road and Cortelyou Road Brighton line Q/B-subway stations. These three Manhattan-bound station platforms will be closed for approximately 4 months as they undergo renovations. Please CLICK HERE to see the MTA project flyer with details about train service changes. This project is scheduled to be completed in November 2013. The southbound bypass will begin in early 2014.
Additional Service Advisories:
WEEKEND: Friday-Monday, Sept. 13th – 16th, 10:45 PM Fri to 5 AM
Manhattan-bound trains run EXPRESS from Kings Hwy to Newkirk Plaza.
• To Avenue M, Avenue J, and Avenue H, take the Manhattan-bound Q train to Newkirk Plaza and transfer to
a Coney Island-bound Q.
• From these stations, take a Coney Island-bound Q train to Kings Hwy and transfer to a 57 St/7 Av-bound Q.
Note: Manhattan-bound Q-train platforms at Cortelyou Rd, Beverley Rd, and Parkside Ave are closed until mid-Fall.
Tuesday, Sept. 17th, 9:45 AM to 3 PM
Manhattan-bound trains run EXPRESS from Kings Hwy to Prospect Park.
• Trains stop at Newkirk Plaza and Church Av.
• For Avenue M, Avenue J & Avenue H stations, take the Manhattan-bound Q train to Newkirk Plaza and transfer to a Coney Island-bound Q train.
• From the above stations, take a Coney Island-bound Q train to Kings Hwy and transfer to a Manhattan-bound Q train.
Notes: Brighton Beach-bound B trains run LOCAL during this time. Manhattan-bound Q trains skip Cortelyou Rd, Beverley Rd, and Parkside Ave until Mid Fall 2013.
Wednesday-Friday, Sept. 18th – 20th, 9:45 AM to 3 PM
Manhattan-bound trains skip Neck Rd and Avenue U.
• For these stations, take the Manhattan-bound Q train to Kings Hwy and transfer to a Coney Island-bound Q train.
• From these stations, take a Coney Island-bound Q train to Sheepshead Bay and transfer to Manhattan-bound Q train.
Note: Brighton Beach-bound B trains run LOCAL from Kings Hwy to Brighton Beach during this time.
Tuesday, Sept. 17th, 9:45 AM to 3 PM
Brighton Beach-bound trains run LOCAL from Prospect Park to Kings Hwy
• Allow additional travel time.
Wednesday-Friday, Sept. 18th – 20th, 9:45 AM to 3 PM
Brighton Beach-bound trains run LOCAL from Kings Hwy to Sheepshead Bay.
• Allow additional travel time.
