Bedford Avenue Bridge over LIRR & NYAR
The New York City Department of Transportation will commence component rehabilitation of the Bedford Avenue Bridge over the LIRR/NYAR (New York & Atlantic Railroad) on or about July 29, 2013. Work at this location will require the closure of one half of the bridge roadway. One travel lane and the adjacent parking lane will be closed in Phase I of the work. Two-way traffic will be maintained, one lane in each direction, on the opposite side of the bridge. The sidewalk on the portion of the bridge adjacent to active construction will also be closed. The scope of work for this bridge includes repair of crack sand spalls in deck, abutments and piers. Repairs will also be made to the concrete deck joints and sidewalks. Anti-graffiti coating will be applied on abutments and piers upon cleaning. (Project # HBCR01A)
This project was completed: Spring 2014.
