Public Hearing on New Primary/Intermediate School for Community School District No. 22

CB14 has learned that the New York City School Construction Authority is planning to construct a new approximately 735-seat primary/intermediate school for the children of Community School District 22, which serves the majority of school children in Community District 14.
The physical location of the school is anticipated to be located within Community District 12 on the block bounded by Coney Island Avenue, Turner Place, East 8th Street, and Hinckley Place.
Therefore, pursuant to Section 1731 of the New York City School Construction Authority Act, Community Board 12 is holding a public hearing to invite the public to comment on the proposed site plan for the new school. All comments will be taken into consideration in the NYC School Construction Authority’s final decision regarding this matter. Representatives from the NYC Department of Education and the NYC School Construction Authority will be present. The Public Hearing will be held on:
