Brooklyn Community Board 14 invites community residents to submit recommendations for the City’s Capital & Expense budgets for Fiscal Year 2016. If you have any suggestions for projects you would like to see funded in the district, please use this form to let us know! These recommendations should be for major construction projects, large equipment purchases, rehabilitation of city facilities such as streets, parks, public buildings, sewer lines, etc., or the addition of and/or major changes to program funding and services.  If you would like assistance with any smaller service delivery issues such as pothole repairs or tree pruning requests, please call the CB14 District Office, Monday-Friday, 9 AM-5 PM at 718-859-6357. Each year, in accordance with the New York City Charter, the City’s 59 Community Boards are required to submit recommendations for the City’s Capital and Expense budgets for the following fiscal year. This year, the Boards must submit their recommendations for Fiscal Year 2016 by October 24, 2014.

As in previous years, Community Board 14 is asking our Flatbush, Midwood and Kensington neighborhood groups and individuals to make their priorities known by completing the budget recommendation form below. Your recommendations for the distribution of City resources assures that local suggestions are taken into consideration during the development of the budget.

Recommendation forms must be submitted to the Community Board 14 office at the above address no later than Friday, September 5, 2014.  This early date is necessary to meet the City’s mandated deadlines, and to assure that the Board’s recommendations have maximum impact on City agency budget requests.

For your information, Community Board 14 will hold two public hearings concerning budget recommendations tentatively scheduled as follows:
