DSNY Autumn Leaf Collection

Posted on: www.cb14brooklyn.com

DSNY will conduct two seasonal leaf collections on Sunday, November 20 and Sunday, December 4, 2022. The leaves collected on these two special collection dates are composted. Please note that leaves set out on other dates will not be composted.

All the bags we had have been claimed. Leaf bags are no longer available.

You can request free leaf bags from Brooklyn Community Board 14 by filling out this form or by calling 718-859-6357. Leaf bags will be available for pick up by appointment at the CB14 District Office starting on Monday, October 26th.

Leaves should be set out after 4 PM on the Saturday before collection, preferably in 30- gallon brown paper lawn and leaf bags or in unlined garbage cans labeled “yard waste.” Plastic bags cannot be used to discard leaves during the leaf collection period. Leaves in plastic bags will be collected with trash on your regular garbage pick up day. Yard waste from landscapers and other hired professionals cannot be included.
