Community Budget Recommendations FY 2022

Each year, in accordance with the New York City Charter, all 59 NYC Community Boards are required to submit Community Budget Recommendations for NYC’s capital and expense budgets for the upcoming fiscal year. Community members are invited to participate in the budget process by suggesting a new city service or capital project. The deadline to submit recommendations for FY 2022 is Friday, September 11, 2020.
Note, a capital project generally has a value of $35,000 and a “useful life” of at least five years. Requests for ongoing programs and regular city services such as street signs, building inspections, parks maintenance, road repair or tree pruning, for example, should be directed to the Community Board office as a routine service delivery request. However, if the suggested budget item is for a new program, service, or capital project, please provide the information requested below. The deadline to submit recommendations for FY 2022 is Friday, September 11, 2020. All submitted recommendations will be considered at Community Board 14’s public hearing on community budget recommendations for fiscal year 2022 on Monday, September 14, 2020 at 6:30 PM. This meeting will be held virtually and will be live streamed on the Brooklyn Community Board 14 YouTube Channel.
