Join the NYPD Youth Leadership Council!

Join a NYPD Youth Leadership Council (YLC) to share your ideas and help the community. Partner with an NPD

The NYPD YLC is open to youth between the ages of 14 and 21. This is a great opportunity for all teens, not just those interested in law enforcement.

Our local NYPD YLC is scheduled to meet once weekly, Thursdays at 4pm at the Kensington Library at 4207 18th Avenue.

NYPD Reform & Reinvention Collaborative Forum

The NYC Police Department is working to reform and reinvent its policies. NYPD has launched a new initiative to collect feedback from New Yorkers. Community feedback will be incorporated into a new plan of action to make the NYPD more transparent and fair for everyone. Please participate by sending in your feedback. What is working? What isn’t working? How can officers better work with the community members they are sworn to serve? What are best practices we can replicate across the city? Civilian Complaint Review Board Public Meeting

The Civilian Complaint Review Board (CCRB) invites the community to attend the June CCRB Public Board Meeting on Wednesday, June 10th from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. via Webex. 70th Pct Community Council Meeting Cancelled

The 70th Precinct Community Council Meeting scheduled for this Wednesday, October 28, 2015, has been cancelled due to the funeral for fallen Police Officer Randolph A. Holder.  The next Community Council Meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, November 18, 2015, at 7:30 PM and will be held at the UCP center across from the Precinct House at 175 Lawrence Avenue.  For more information, please contact the 70th Precinct Community Affairs Unit at (718) 851-5557.

Community members are invited to join the thirteen NYPD precincts in Patrol Boro Brooklyn South (PBBS) for a day of family fun. This event is held annually to foster community, encourage communication between neighbors, and promote communication between residents and the police by joining police officers from Patrol Boro Brooklyn South for free food, games, activities and entertainment. The location of the event will be the Bartel-Pritchard Square entrance to Prospect Park at Prospect Park West and 15th Street. NYPD Youth Summits 2014

The NYPD Community Affairs Bureau’s Juvenile Justice Division is hosting multiple Youth Summits in communities throughout NYC to inform the public about potential dangers and consequences of Social Media. Also addressed are topics on Youth Crews and trends in their respective neighborhoods. Teenagers, community leaders, representatives of community based youth organizations, teachers, administrators, clergy and concerned citizens are invited and encouraged to attend.
