Potential Community Residence–858 East 26th Street between Avenue I and the dead end: HASC Center and the New York State Office for People With Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) have submitted an application for a potential Community Residence to be located at 858 East 26th Street, between Avenue I and the dead end, within Community District 14 in compliance with Section 41.34 of the New York State Mental Hygiene Law. The proposed Community Residence will be located in a two-family detached house with full basement and private driveway for up to twelve (12) female adults that are intellectually disabled/autistic. The agency will provide housing, meals, recreation, companionship and continuous 24/7 supervision in a homelike environment staffed by professionals.
